Welcome to the Big Spring District! Located in the southwestern corner of the Northwest Texas Conference, the Big Spring District is bound by the communities of Morton to the northwest and Slaton to the northeast, Midland to Plains in the west, Garden City to the south and Sweetwater to Mulberry Canyon in the east. A large District geographically, its heart for Jesus Christ is even larger. The 48 churches, 45 pastors and countless devoted Lay people of the Big Spring District invite you to see for yourself the many ways Jesus Christ is alive and at work among us. Take a look around and you too will discover “The Big Spring District…United in Passion for Jesus Christ”!
God Bless you and Keep you,

" THE BIG EVENT" COMING TO THE BIG SPRING DISTRICT The Big Spring District Ministry Team ask all churches in the Big Spring District to mark your calendars and highlight Saturday, May 3, 2008, Lamesa Forrest Park in Lamesa, TX from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The Big Spring District plans a great day of celebration. In an effort to "connect" and "communicate", the Big Spring District Ministry Team is planning a district-wide event that will include the use of churches gifts and talents, including music, worship, food (lots of food), games for all ages, a silent auction and many more activities. The event is for children of all ages, youth and adults. The keynote speaker for " The Big Event" will be Pierre Moranza of Kingdom Mercy Ministries, Inc. He is a well known speaker that has had involvement in our Conference in the past with youth and adults. Along with Pierre, will be a guest musician, Darrell Evans. Darrell is a well know Christian recording artist. The District Ministry Team is creating avenues to help facilitate our churches to make disciples, fulfill their sense of connection, and create an environment where the Holy Spirit can work among the people and transformation can take place in our relationships with God and each other. This activity is one example of how this is to be accomplished. Mark your calendars: SATURDAY MAY 3, 2008 LAMESA FORREST PARK, LAMESA, TX (S. 9th & Bryan Ave.) 3:00 PM TO 7:00 PM |
