About Beulah United Methodist Church |
Beulah is a United Methodist congregation of about 600 members located on the eastern edge of the City of Johnstown, Pa.. The church was begun in 1891 and moved to its present location in 1922. Our Pastor, Rev. Charles Shaffer, received his B.A. from Otterbein College and a M.Div. from United Theological University. Rev. Shaffer was ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church in 1974. Beulah remains an active, busy church with a full program in spite of major changes in the surrounding communities, which have changed from an industrial to a service-oriented economy in the last generation. Active members come from all over the Greater Johnstown area, including at least six school districts. We strive to uphold our Evangelical and Wesleyan heritage, and welcome those who seek to live their faith in Jesus Christ through the ministry of the church, and those who seek God through Jesus Christ for the first time.
