Girl Scouting

A Girl Scouting program has been a part of Bethel UMC for over 35 years.  At present we have three Troops:

Troops meet every other week in the Church’s Fellowship Hall. Check with the church office for day and time.

Girls join the scouts for fun and friendships; also to find out about building character, self esteem and community service. Scouting offers a safe place to form and share views and experiences, learn to relate to others and contribute to society.

A “Blue Star” community outreach within the long-standing cookie fund-raising program was initiated last year. As an option, an extra box of cookies can be purchased which will be sent to our military personnel serving overseas. Our Fort Jackson “family” and the number of girls who have parents, grandparents, siblings and neighbors serving in the armed forces are the incentives for this mission.

We are proud and honored to have these groups of girls and their leaders share in the life of Bethel. New members are always welcome, regardless of whether or not they are members of Bethel.
