Many roads lead to Bethel, nestled in the heart of a Forest Acres residential neighborhood at 4600 Daniel Drive. Although Bethel is hidden from view, it is located near the bustling intersection of Forest Drive and Trenholm Road, not too far from Fort Jackson and near the heart of the Forest Acres area. We are an active and friendly church of about 500 members with “Open hearts...Open minds...Open doors!”
To reach us from: - Forest Drive, turn north onto Willingham or Gamewell (beside the Happy Bookseller) - North Trenholm Rd., turn west onto Sylvan or Academy Way, then onto Daniel Drive. - Bethel Church Rd., journey east until you reach our door.

Bethel is an intergenerational church, and the needs of all age groups are kept in mind. The Sunday School hour begins at 9:45 am, and there are classes for children, youth and adults. The Sunday worship service is at 11:00 am. The service includes a children’s sermon, and then the children are escorted over to attend “Children’s Church” in the education building. For the past four years, Bethel has been involved in Long Range Planning. All members who wished to serve formed a committee to examine Bethel’s needs and priorities, and to make a five-year action plan. We are now in the fourth year of this plan and are trying innovations in worship, considering enlarging and/or upgrading our facilities, and evaluating the effectiveness of existing small groups and interest in forming additional ones. We would like for new members to come and catch our enthusiasm as we venture into the future. |
