Many roads lead to Bethel, nestled in the heart of a Forest Acres residential neighborhood at 4600 Daniel Drive. Although Bethel is hidden from view, it is located near the bustling intersection of Forest Drive and Trenholm Road, not too far from Fort Jackson and near the heart of the Forest Acres area. We are an active and friendly church of about 500 members with “Open hearts...Open minds...Open doors!”
To reach us from: - Forest Drive, turn north onto Willingham or Gamewell, the street beside - North Trenholm Rd., turn west onto Sylvan or Academy Way, then onto - Bethel Church Rd., journey east until you reach our door.

Bethel is an intergenerational church, and the needs of all age groups are kept in mind. The Sunday School hour begins at 9:45 am, and there are classes for children, youth and adults. The Sunday worship service is at 11:00 am. The service includes a children’s sermon, and then the children are escorted over to attend “Children’s Church” in the education building. Our dream team is implementing new worship styles in our '5th Sunday' worship services. We also have plans in 2010 to renovate/rebuild our current activities building, including expansions to the kitchen, restrooms, and storage space. We hope to add a new Cub Scout pack to the already thriving scout ministry at Bethel UMC. Our preschool has room to expand the number of children we care for. Our youth group continues to grow with exciting opportunities for fun, service, and growth in relationship with Christ. Leadership from our new pastor and his family, along with the commitment of Bethel UMC members, ensures that Bethel will continue to seek and welcome God's people into a supportive extended family.
