| drive slowly and carefully in bad weather
use your gears to slow down
brake using short, gentle pumps on the brake (If you have an ABS, be sure you understand how they work.)
put headlights on in the fog and rain
BEWARE of blind corners and approaching traffic
carry snow chains for your vehicle and put them on where advised or be sure all weather tires are in good condition
keep at least twice the distance between yourself and the vehicle in front of you
carry spare blankets, warm clothing, food and water, broom and scraper
keep window washer fluid full
