Be Prepared Stock Your Home Medicine Chest
When illness or injury strikes at home, your first line of defense is often the medicine chest. Take an inventory of your medicine and first aid supplies, and stock up on basic necessities. (See list below.)
- Many products have expiration dates, so check them regularly and replace those items that have passed the deadline.
- Avoid storing medicines and first aid items in a hot or humid place, and keep ALL medicines out of the reach of children. A higher shelf in the bedroom or hallway closet may be good, also consider a locked box or cabinet.
