What is a Health Ministry?
Goal:
- To support our congregation to live life joyously and abundantly in relationship with God and each other through promoting and maintaining the physical, emotional and spiritual well being of persons within our congregation. We will carry out this task with the highest regard for individual dignity, personal choice and confidentiality.
How will this be accomplished?
- We have a "board" of members with backgrounds in the healthcare field, by education &/or experience. This includes several nurses and health educators. If you are interested in being part of this ministry contact our church office.
- Preventative Services present & future include:
- Blood Pressure Screenings on the 3
rd Sunday of every month
- Annual Health Fair
- Library Corner to be established for children and adults
- Education by our members or by linking with other resources (let us know of your needs)
- Timely information in the Bugle on the Health Ministry Page
