Summer Messages
Our preaching series, for the summer, with holiday and special day exceptions, will be a series on being a World Christian. A variety of sermons will focus on being responsible Christians in the world in which we live. June 15, Father's Day June 29, Jubilee, Sunday ___________________________________________________ The intent of our worship services is to lift up the Person and Work of Jesus Christ. In that regard we incorporate elements of worship that are celebrative and reflective. Central place is given to Word and Sacrament. The sacrament of communion is served once a month on the first Sunday of the month. Volunteer music opportunities include solos, small groups, choir, handbells, and orchestra. Bethel offers a traditional worship service at 8:45 a.m., featuring the organ, choir, handbells, special music, liturgical elements, and possessing a quieter, reflective ethos. The 10:00 a.m. service is a "blended" style praise worship service which combines traditional and contemporary elements. Coffee, refreshments, and the usual "artery clogging" goodies are available beginning at 8:30 a.m. prior to the worship services. Adult Sunday school classes meet either 9:45am for those attending the 8:45am worship service OR at 9:15am for those attending the 10am worship service. Children's christian education begins at 9:15am when children are released from the early service, and continue until 11am with a variety of learning activities and combining elements of education, hand chimes, and junior worship. Parents will be free to bring and/or pick up their children at any time during this block of time. Sunday School is available for all ages. Click here for more information. ![]() |
