Bethany's Mission: To know and to share Jesus!

Our Vision:

We believe that God is calling us to become an authentic, biblical community in the spirit of Acts 2:42-47. This community is based upon four concepts:

  1. Foundational dependence on the saving grace of Jesus Christ, the guidance of Scripture, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the call to make disciples in which:

    • the Gospel is presented in compelling and relevant ways.
    • unbelievers become believers, and believers become fully committed followers of Jesus Christ.
    • lives are transformed through the teaching of the Bible.
    • people go to scripture and depend on the Holy Spirit to help them discern God's will for their live

  2. The importance of relationships to nonbelievers, our country, and the world in which:

    • a contagious, outreach-oriented atmosphere inspires people to know and to share Jesus.
    • small groups provide the context for evangelism, support, and encouragement.
    • unbelievers discover a place where they can search for truth without fear of judgment.
    • members support a healthy mission emphasis, both at local and global levels.
    • love is shared so freely that people say, Look at these Christians. See how they worship! See how they love!

  3. The importance of relationships to one another, as members of the Body of Christ, that support and nurture members in an environment in which:

    • racial barriers fall.
    • men and women serve as equals.
    • the rich and poor, young and old minister to one another.
    • people experience the love of Jesus as they support each other in life's journey.
    • people feel free to express their opinions and concerns in Christian love.
    • members have high expectations for themselves and for others.
    • leaders are well trained and supported by those who are led.

  4. Importance is placed upon a ministry to believers of all ages in which:
  • seeds of faith are planted and nurtured in the lives of children as they experience the love of the Holy Spirit.
  • teenagers discover their true identity, and develop a philosophy of life that gives them stability and direction in times of unprecedented change.
  • adults, married and single, find true meaning by discovering and using their spiritual gifts and serving God's purpose in their generation.
  • the elderly are respected and none suffers from loneliness.
