Velna Sillon

DOVER - Velna G. Sillon, 83, of Berwick, Maine, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2004, at the Riverside Rest Home in Dover, N.H. after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Berwick, Maine on Oct. 4, 1920, the daughter of Raymond S. and Helen H. Hurd Guy. She attended Berwick schools and graduated from Berwick High School. She worked as a key punch operator at General Electric in Somersworth and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Berwick.

Her husband, Harland G. Sillon, died in 1981. She is survived by her son, Dennis Sillon, of Shapleigh, Maine; her daughter, Donna Hackerott, of Keene; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours were Oct. 3 at the Laing-Bibber Funeral Chapel, Berwick, where a funeral service was held on Oct. 4. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Berwick.
