On Going Missions

March is Food Pantry Month

This is our month to stock the Isle of Wight county Food Pantry. There are boxes located throughout the church to accept your donations. Every type of nonperishable food is welcome-especially meats, stews, peanut butter, pasta and sauces.

Also, personal care items, laundry and household cleaners, and paper products are useful.

Outreach

Continue to save your Campbell Soup and food product labels, General Mills Education box tops and Farm Fresh receipts.

There will be boxes in all the adult Sunday School Class rooms and near doors in the Family Life Center to drop them in.

These labels and receipts will be used to help our local schools and the Red Bird Mission.

Feed the Homeless

This event provides a marvelous opportunity to be of service while allowing us to become aware of the many blessings we enjoy that are often taken for granted.

Holiday Missions

Clothes for the Wesley Community center

Collections of donated items include blankets, hats, gloves, jackets, sweaters,
sweatshirts, socks, and winter coats.

Donated items may be left in the box in the Family Life Center lobby and will be delivered in January.

Star of David Christmas Gift Program

There are families waiting for you to pick their names from the basket on the organ and help to make their
Christmas a little brighter. You can deliver your gifts personally or return them to the church and the
Outreach Committee will see that they reach the right chimney by Christmas.

Relay for Life

Our church will once again have a Relay for Life team which will raise money for the American Cancer Society. If you would like to be on the team, or would like further information regarding the Relay for Life, please call the church office at 357-3373.
