Regular Mission Support
We are a church that
believes in providing monetary support for missionaries and their families. One
way in which we do this is to provide a small stipend of $1,000.00 per year for
each of 4 missionary programs.
These programs are:
Neal & Mari Hicks are missionaries to Japan. Neal is a UM minister.
Mari is the daughter of a prominent Japanese Methodist pastor. They
are supported by the Mission Society for United Methodists. They have 2
teen age sons. Neal is from Michigan
and served in Japan
while he was in the Navy. Mari was born and grew up in Japan.

Elizabeth (Lisa) Nichols is a deaconess and home missionary serving in Chattanooga, Tennessee
at St Elmo Chapel. She is supported by the U M Board of Global
Missions. Lisa has a husband, Gary, and they have 2 daughters. Gary is special because
since they have been married he has changed jobs as necessary to accompany Lisa
in her various assignments by GBM.

The first three persons have been receiving support for
approximately 15 years. We have been supporting Doug for about 8 years.
From time to time we also send extra money to the above
programs as we see the need and have funds available.
In addition to the above programs we have taken part in
various relief efforts (flood buckets, Shoebox, cash support, etc.). Sent
money to Eastern Europe and Russia at least
3 times and supported many of the other missionary causes of the state and
national church and other advance specials of the church.
