History
In 1944, Protestants form a number of tradition in Belle Chasse banded together for religious services. In 1946, the present sanctuary was dedicated and for the next 17 years visiting pastors from several denominations supplied the pastoral needs.
In 1963, after overtures to several denominations, the Methodist Church agreed to supply a minister on a full-time, permanent basis. So the Belle Chasse Methodist Church was chartered in 1963 with 100 members.
