The Faith Promise concept has transformed our church into becoming a congregation that cares more and more about the needs of the world around us. In this our third year of holding Missions Conferences we have grown to support five overseas missionaries, two United Methodist homes for children, camps for children of incarcerated citizens, local home repairs and a mission team to Mexico. It is surely great to see what God is doing!

Our Goal for the 2004 Mission Conference is to have EVERY member of our congregation make a Faith Promise for missions (no matter the size of the Promise). To make your Faith Promise please contact Pastor Bakewell today!

How To Make a Faith Promise?

Pray for God's Direction...This is a spiritual exercise that must be preceded by and completed in prayer. Pray to discern the amount of your commitment and pray for God's help in fulfilling your commitment.

Obey God's Voice...The figure God gives you may seem totally impossible. God is the God of the impossible. Take a risk. If you aren't pressured to trust God, you won't.

Trust God and Be Open to His Provision...Believe that nothing is impossible with God. The size of your faith isn't important; the object of your faith is what matters.

Be Faithful to Give as God Enables You...After making a Faith Promise Commitment, you still have a part to play. You must be faithful to give as God enables you.
