Summertime!

It's that highly anticipated time of year again, and the regular church programming
is taking a little break until next fall. However, there's still a great number of things to do
that'll be happening in upcoming weeks. Here's a little sampling:

     Schedule:
       June 6: Norcross FUMC Youth Choir visits (concert 7:00 PM, Ice Cream after)
       June 9-13: VBS (youth helpers needed)
       June 11: VBS break time. Evening at the Munson's for swimming and cookout
       June 15-20: Music Camp in Lakeland
       June 25: Bowlin'
       June 29: Youth Cover the worship services in prayer room.
       July 4: Annual Youth vs. Adults Softball Game
       July 6-11: A not-planned yet activity
       July 13-18: Mission Trip to Birmingham
       July 25: Tubing day
       July 30: An afternoon Movie/Mocha Punch/Shoebox day
       July 31: BHS Marching Band Rocks out: first show
       Aug 1: School Starts
       Aug 9?: Back to School Lake day
       Aug 8-9: Youth preseason football 5th QuarterYouth Revival Service for BFUMC and community.

Hey, This is Steven Shelton (aka Jimmy or Jimmy-Steve) the new youth guy at
Bainbridge First United Methodist Church. If you haven't come by to meet me, then
you are really missing out. [Joking...] My office is in the basement (the dungeon!)
and I'm usually there Monday through Wednesday, and of course: Sunday. Let me

Old Stuff...

From 4/20/08

I can't believe that Summer is almost here and that school's almost out. Whoever you
are and wherever you are, give me a little 'woo hoo' and say it out loud. I'm serious.
Unfortunately we're not participating in Relay for Life this year, so I guess we'll just
have to raise twice as much $$ next year.
In other news, The new Narnia movie comes out in a few weeks (May 16th) and we're
planning on seeing it May 24th. I'm also trying to work out some rock climbing for
that Saturday as well.

From 3/10/08

I've got some ideas bubbling, but I'm not sure I'll be able to implement much
before the summer gets here. School's crazy and all. I'm hoping to create
several separate pages for announcements, a youth faq page, a favorite links page, etc.
If you want to see this page become something better, faster, let me know when it
gets a little out-dated. I'll be better about updating if people complain alot.

From 2/12/08:

Sometimes you just need to clean off your desk and start over organizing and putting
things "in their place". The same goes with websites. Jimmy-steve (that's me talking
about myself in the third person) will be working on this new version of the Youth
Website in the next few weeks/months. Be patient as it will be a work in progress for
a while.
