The Bay Springs UMC is a Mission-Minded church. We pay our Conference
apportionments 100% and contribute on a monthly basis to Edward's
Street Community Center and to the newly organized congregation at
Middlebrook UMC in Jackson. We have an organized plan to visit our
shut-ins.
We have a unique ministry of "Double-Couponing" which provides us with
boxes upon boxes of food and supplies for the Christian Food Mission,
McCarty's Boys Home, DHS food pantry, lonely Seniors, Edward's Street
and any emergency that may come up.
A special project is the dozens and dozens of teddy bears that we give
each year to Wesley House for their Child abuse Ministry.

"Change for Children" involves our children & youth. The change in
the collection plate each Sunday is given to the Youth and Children
Ministry to build a fund for their Mission Projects.
Our VIM team recently led in a project to refurbish an apartment for
the Children's Home Ministry.
Our women organize van trips to the Methodist Hour tapings and to the
Conference Community Centers.
Each Sunday during the morning worship service, we have a Mission
Moment when a need or deed is lifted up by our Mission Chairperson.
