Bayside United Methodist Church is situated in the bustling, thriving downtown section of Bayside (Queens) with its own parking lot in the back on 213th Street. The building houses a large sanctuary, fellowship hall, classrooms, gym, a nursery school, office space and living quarters for our sexton and his family.

Our congregation comprises a melting pot of White, Filippino, Black, Hispanic and Asian people, all of whom work harmoniously together. Several of our Christmas social get-togethers have focussed on a theme of "Christmas Around the World." Our outreach to our community includes Senior Citizens, Alcoholics Anonymous, Noah's Ark Nursery School, and a group of our people cook and deliver meals for shut-ins. Morning and evening Bible study sessions accommodate both working people and those who prefer a daytime group. Social occasions have included a lantern trip to Old Bethpage as well as a visit to former President Theodore Roosevelt's home, Sagamore Hill. Every year we look forward to our talent/no talent show, an evening of food, fun and fellowship held in our fellowship hall. Our pastor's weekly sermons are scripture-based and lively stories embellish each point. Our worship is enhanced by an inspiring stained glass window (Jesus in Gethsemane), located in the front of the sanctuary where it can be enjoyed by everyone. The choir presents music of all periods and styles, and sings at a variety of services throughout the year. Sunday School is held for pre-school to 8th grade each week. Participation in our worship services as a lector or usher is encouraged.

Many opportunities for service, discipleship and fellowship await you in the diverse, welcoming community of Bayside United Methodist Church. Please come and join us! Discover for yourself the joy of belonging to a caring church family.
