Our Nursery School celebrated thirty-
seven years in 2007. We have morning
classes for three and four year olds. The classes meet for half-days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from mid-September through May.
Our Nursery School is a place where children can live, work, and play together
in a friendly, happy atmosphere. Our curriculum is child-centered and emphasizes social, emotional, intellectual and physical development, tailored to meet the individual needs of each child.
Weekly activities for each class include time in the gym using bikes, big wheels, sliding boards, balls and other activities that foster the development of large muscles. The children also participate in a reading program through our library. Other special programs include: Officer Friendly, Fire Safety, Dental health, Nutrition (Chef Combo), healthy heart. We recently updated our program by giving children hands-on experience with computers.
Registration for Nursery School for the 2008-2009 school year will begin in February. Children must be 3 or 4 by September 30, 2008 and be completely potty trained. Registration forms will be available in the church office, M-F, 8:30-3:00. If you are interested in enrolling your child, please contact us for more information.
3 Year-Old Class
Hello from the Baughman Threes!
Spring has sprung at school and so has the curiosity, wonder and energy levels. We have had a lot of fun watching and discussing the change of season. Thanks to longer, warmer days, the need to spend more time in the gym has become quite evident.
We continue to reinforce our lessons on shapes and colors through various art projects. The children spent time spring cleaning our classroom, followed by a short movie and popcorn for being great co-operators! The children have “grown” so much in the past few months. We enjoy watching the transformation, however bittersweet.

4 Year-Old Class
Spring has finally appeared! We are busy looking at the signs of spring. We are happy to see and to hear the robins. Color is returning to the lawns and trees. It is wonderful that all is new again!
We just learned about number 9 and the color purple. We are busy making butterflies for our bulletin board and looking at real butterflies under glass. We are amazed that butterflies come from caterpillars. We are also learning about tadpoles, frogs and birds eggs hatching in the nest.
We are busy exercising our minds and bodies. One of our favorite forms of exercise is playing the snake game. We run and jump over a wiggling “snake” held by the teachers. We try not to let the “snake” nip our toes. If it does, we need to sit down until the next game begins.
With only one month of school left, we will kick it into high gear trying to fit everything in before the school year ends. We will be one busy class!

Registration
Tuition is $75 per month with a registration fee of $15. Registration forms can be acquired in the church office. Classes will begin after Labor Day.
