Description

In the summer of 2000 the campground was officially dedicated to honor Bishop Leontine Kelly, under whose leadership the Nevada-Sierra District was created.  Come join us for our Nevada-Sierra District Family Camp.

The camp will feature Bible study, evening campfire programs, mountain biking, Saturday evening potluck and Sunday worship.  There are day-time activities for all ages that include:  hiking, swimming, volleyball, horseshoes, trips to nearby caves, hot springs or petroglyphs and special activities for children and youth.  Family camp is a great time for families and friends from across northern California and Nevada to share in Christian fellowship, renew old acquaintances and make new friends.

MEALS:  Thursday and Friday dinners and Sunday Breakfast are provided; Saturday dinner is pot-luck.  All other meals are the campers' responsibility.

Description

Come experience the unique high country of central Nevada.  Bring your horse and gear, camp out under the stars and ride scenic trails, including a portion of the original 1860 Pony Express Trail.  Each day's ride begins and ends at the campground with evenings spent around the campfire singing songs and telling stories.  This is a family event for those who want to spend a weekend in the high country.  Folks who are not horse owners are welcome to come to simply relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of central Nevada and participate in other activities.
