The world hates change and so do I, yet it is the only thing that has brought progress. We have a 140 year history in mission as United Methodist Women. As we grew through the years, we became larger and stronger in our efforts to serve women, children and youth. A new wave of change is in the planning stages and if our initiative is approved by the General Conference, April 24 through May 4, 2012 in Tampa, Florida, we will become United Methodist Women, Inc. The change will provide more flexibility our Conference, District and Local levels. Please join with me in embracing this change…open our minds and hearts to allow us to grow and offer new ideas and possibilities to younger women, youth and children in our churches.

If you have talented musicians in your church or district who would be interested in leading worship at UMW Conference events, please let us know.
