Dr. King
was appointed as minister to Avilla Calvary United Methodist on June 16,
1999. He graduated from Evangelical Theological Seminary in 1974.
The following year he was ordained Elder of the North Indiana United Methodist
Church Conference. He has served churches in the North Indiana Conference
for the past 28 years. In 1998, Dr. King received his Doctor's degree
in Grief Management from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary.
At the present, along with serving Calvary, he leads seminars in local
churches which are experiencing pastoral changes. He has a strong
interest in mission work of the church by serving on the Committee of Board
of Global Ministries.
Leonard
likes to golf, fish, and woodworking in his leisure time. He and
his wife, Marj, were married in 1972. The have three grown children,
two daughters and a son; and three grandchildren.
