Work Day at Montopolis Friendship Center and
Harris Park Ranch, May 31, 2008

The Austin District UM Men came to spruce up a park and do some foundation repair as part of their mission as United Methodist Men, "Be Doers of the Word". The repair work was done on the UMW supported Friendship Community Center located in Southeast Austin in the Montopolis area. The sprucing up activity took place in Dripping Springs at the Harris Ranch Park facility. Click here to see pictures.

The morning's activities began with breakfast hosted by the Dripping Springs men's group. A short meal, a devotional and Holy Communion sent the men on their way. The Montopolis fix-up consisted of
patching holes in the foundation skirting that had been hit by vandals. District workers at Montopolis were:

Dave Sidney, Cedar Park

District workers at Harris Ranch Park located in Dripping Springs reported that the place looked a lot better after their work there. The work consisted of clean up by power washing, scraping, lifting, and painting. The men working there were:
