Welcome

Welcome to the Austin District United Methodist Men (UMM) website.  We serve Methodist Men in the Austin, Texas area and are part of the Southwest Texas Conference.  We have set out on a new venture to discover and meet the needs of Christian Men in today's world.  The Austin District of the UMM seeks to be a resource for the local church men's groups as they set out on that journey.   Join us in that journey.

Ministries

There are many opportunities for United Methodist Men to support various ministries, not only at the District level, but also at the Conference and National levels.  Many of these opportunities are described in more detail on the Ministries page of this website.

The Homeless Men's Clothes Closet is the main ministry in which the Austin District UMM supports.  It is a ministry of love and compassion that works both ways.  The men who staff the clothes closet provide a ministry to the men who get clothes there, but the staff also receives blessings from these men in need.  If you or your church is interested in helping this ministry, please find out more...

The district, conference, and national UMM organizations support additional ministries such as Scouting, Amachi, and more...

does the Lord require of you?  To act justly

and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."
