Our District Superintendent
A short biography of Reverend Diana Facemyer, Aurora District Superintendent for the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church. Commentaries from Diana can be found here.
The Reverend Diana Mason Facemyer, Aurora District Superintendent, was ordained in the New York Annual Conference in 1973 and has been serving in Northern Illinois since 1975. A graduate of Garrett -Evangelical Theological Seminary, Diana was born and raised in New York City. She did her undergraduate work at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Diana has served both rural and suburban churches in our Annual Conference, the last twelve years of which were at the St. Thomas United Methodist Church in Glen Ellyn.
Over the years, Rev. Facemyer has been a regular study leader at the United Methodist Schools of Christian Mission, a teacher for many Lay Academies and as served as adjunct faculty at Garrett-Evangelical seminary for a dozen years.
Twice Rev. Facemyer has been elected to represent our Annual Conference at the General and Jurisdictional Conferences of our denomination and is highly regarded as a teacher, trainer and lover of local church ministry and it's leadership, both lay and Clergy.
Rev. Diana is married to the Rev. Daniel D. Facemyer, recently retired member of the Northern Illinois Conference. Together they are the parents of three sons and the grandparents of six.
