MAY 2009 ACTIVITIES AT ALBRIGHT UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

 

On Graduation Sunday, Adam and Jamie McGaughey, Katie Hill, Andy Elliott, Jenny Bush, Greg Stewart and Mollie Brown were recognized.   A nice lunch was served for those who could be here as well as the congregation.  Table spaces for mementoes , cards and gifts were displayed. 

 

 

Jason Stillwell is Albright United  Methodist Church's new pianist for our Choir rehearsals and Sunday Morning Worship Services.  Say hello and get acquainted. You will enjoy his improvisa- tions ( the additional notes he adds to what is written. )

 

A Flock of Pink Flamingoes came to Albright UMC to encourage donations to support the Child Development Center in Ponca City. Phone  Joyce Appleman to make  donation.762-7343

 

The Ponca City Federated Music Club Scholarship winners presented a concert in the Sanctuary of our Albright United Methodist Church on May 9, 2009.  Winners were Katheryn Rolf=Violin, Hunter Littlecock=clarinet, Britany Lawrence=flute, and Carl Schwager=Piano.
Suzi Lelnlhart, Club President  presented Brittany Lawrence, flutist, with  the  $1000 Mary Sunshine Cogman Jarman Music Education ScholarshipThe other three students also received scholarships of $1000. Also shown  are  scholarship doners. 

 

The FOG children's program helped make this bulletin board.          The Friendship Class is collecting  Bibles for Bridgeway and other books for a book sale at the Oklahoma UMC Conference Meeting. 

 

Essie Ford welcomed folks to the MOTHERS' AND CHILDREN'S  TEA  on May 3rd 2009

Joyce Appleman read a poem. Katie and Jake  Schultz sang songs.     Eight special Women in the Bible  were introduced including  "Dorcus"  by Thelma Stewart, and "Esther" by Debbie Topper.  

Eldest Mother present was  Alvera Allen, Youngest Mother was Ashley Saylor and  the Mother with the  most children and grand children was Thelma Stewart. Refreshments were enjoyed.  

 

Jeannie Burge helped us artistic- ally  set the tone for  the  Easter Season
