| SENIOR RECOGNITION SUNDAY was celebrated on April 26 in our Worship service with John Lansdown, Rita Robbins and Catherine Graham being the eldest present. They received recognitions and went first through the luncheon-buffet-potluck that was served by the Family Life Committee. |

| ON CONFIRMATION SUNDAY, April 19 2009, Pastor Joe Robinson received into AUMC membership Jacob Schultz, Trey Steele and Michael Brown. Mentors this year were Calvin Golliver, David Miller and Alan Crockett. Jacob Schultz was baptized in our baptistery by Pastor Joe. Following the confirmation service the Journey of Hope Sunday School class served our congregation a nice potato bar dinner with a beautiful cake for the occasion . |

| APRIL 4TH WORK DAY AT ALBRIGHT UMC. Preparations had been made so that projects were listed on sheets in the fellowship hall for which people could sign up, and project leaders had gathered supplies and equipment for the volunteers to use. Many outside cleanup and trimming jobs were done. Inside the ceiling tiles were replaced in the Homemakers' class room, the banisters were painted in the west stairway. For lunch, everyone brought a can of soup and put into one pot to which was added some more meat and cooked by Billy Palmer, trustee chairperson. Bread, crackers, cookies, doughnuts, coffee, tea, juice or water were also served. After lunch Calvin Golliver went back to painting the north east stairway, and ladies did Spring Cleaning in the kitchen. We thank our Trustees and all who helped improve our facilities and brought food for the workers' lunch. |
