JANUARY 2009 ACTIVITIES AT ALBRIGHT UNITED METHODIST CHURCH |
| A New Pager System that will be installed in our nursery was explained by Billy Palmer, Trustee Chairperson, after then annual Administrative Council Planning Meeting on January 25. On the west wall of the Nursery the sending equipment will be housed in a cabinet to be built. The small receiver shown in the picture on the right below, will be worn by parents or additional helpers who might need to be paged by nursery attendants. . Records will be kept to list children in the nursery and their parents pager numbers. |
| The Albright United Methodist Church's Annual Program Planning meeting was held on Jan. 25th, 2009 in our Fellowship Hall. Those attending met for Devotions and Direction and then filled up their plates with snacks before breaking into small Groups to make plans and set dates for activities.. Worship Education, and Missions Groups are shown below.. 2009 officers and leaders of the various groups in Albright's Administrative Council then met together to share and coordinate plans for 2009. |
| 20 United Methodist Women from Albright, St. Paul, Asbury and First Methodist Churches came to Albright on Tuesday, January 20th from 1-4 P.M. for their new Ponca City Area UMW Monthly Rotating Fellowship time. Esther Brigden was hostess. Bridge, dominoes and other games were enjoyed as well as a snack table filled with a variety of beverages and finger food. All Ponca City UMW ladies are invited to attend this new rotating fellowship time on 3rd Tuesdays. On February 17th it will be held at 1904 North Pecan in the St. Paul United Methodist Church. |

Our Youth held their Annual Chili and Stew Cook off on January l8th 2009 to help finance their camp expenses. A lot of people attended, and they cleared over $386. Everyone got a taste of the prize winning Stew made by Jeanne and Lee Burge and prize winning Chili made with white beans by Debi Topper as well as other entrants dishes and some nice desserts. Thanks to all who came and supported our youths' activities. . |
