JULY 2008 ALBRIGHT ACTIVITIES

 

ALBERTA DEPEW CELEBRATED HER 80TH BIRTHDAY with her Daughter  in law, Son and Daughter, Mary Stanton, who flew in from the Virgin Islands,  and a host of friends on July 27th from 2-4PM  in Albright UM Church's  Fellowship Hall. Maxine Smith registered guests who gave Alberta many cards of remembrance and well wishes. Kay Anthony played beautiful background piano music during the celebration. . Alberta and her friends had a good time enjoying the cake, nuts, mints, punch, socializing and praising the Lord for the  life and blessings Alberta has received and been to her Church and many people.  

 

July Bulletin Boards by Jeanne Burg  were beautiful and inspiring. 

 

 

COLLIDE WAS A BIG DAY FOR PONCA CITY'S YOUTH     from Albright, Asbury, First,  St Paul UMCs and the community on July 25 at Albright UMC and Dan Moran Park.   There were skateboarding, bicycling, music, prizes, eating, fellowship, and inspirational experiences  for youth,  their leaders ( in yellow t shirts) and the public who came to watch  the activities and listen to the music.  

 

Many Ways to be Helpful are lifted up in the Halls of Albright including Monthly Food Drive, Glasses, School Supplies, Items for the Abuse House Residents, and filling in the Church Survey Forms. 

 

INFORMAL SUNDAY AND INDOOR PICNIC  was held on July l3th following worship. The Family Life Committee provided chicken, rolls and ice cream and the rest of the  l10 who ate brought a covered dish of vegetables, salads  and fruits. The nice turnout had a lot to pick from on the serving table and ice cream counter. .
