we do... We present Jesus Christ to others by the power of the Holy Spirit, in order that they may accept Him, become like Him, and trust in the Father through Him, all while sharing and serving Him as their Lord and Savior in the fellowship of His church! Why we do it... This Sums it up... Great Commission: And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20) Great Commandment: " 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment.  A Community Response to Homeless Families What: IHN of Johnson City consists of congregations joining together to provide lodging, meals, and assistance to homeless families in our community. We support this wonderful ministry with our time and talents. Serving families from Carter, Greene, Johnson, Sullivan (Bristol area), Unicoi, and Washington Counties. 1100 volunteers from 35 congregations. 350 volunteer hours per week.  Today,
the church may be the only place where some children find the
unconditional love and care they so desperately need to grow and
thrive. As Christians, we must take our responsibilities due our
children very seriously. We fail in our duty if we neglect to make our
churches a safe haven for those who might be the most vulnerable in our
midst! .We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of our children,
& youth!
