Sunday School Opportunities  (All are welcome!)

Adult Class (Led by Amy Ruggles)

On Sunday mornings, from 9:30 to 10:15 in the West Room of the Ashley United Methodist Church, a group of adults can be found laughing, sharing, praying, studying the Bible, and discussing how scripture relates to our lives.  We begin each week with class news and prayer requests, followed by prayer and a lesson.  The Bibles are always opened to the day’s scripture reference, so no one gets put on the spot trying to locate a verse.  Together we discuss current events, local concerns, our personal challenges and activities.  We read and discuss Bible passages that show us God’s will, guidance and comfort.  This class provides support, guidance, love, and a joyful start to your week.  Join us! We’d love to have you!

New Adult Sunday School Class (led by Margaret VanSickle)

We cordially invite you to attend a new study group in the fellowship hall {AKA “church basement”} on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am, beginning February 10.  During the Sundays of Lent, we will look at the stories of Jesus’ teachings and examine the events which led to the crucifixion and resurrection.  We will be very informal with many opportunities for you to ask questions about faith and life.  We look forward to having you as part of ;the new group at Ashley U:MC.

Children’s and Youth Classes

We have two classes for our young people.  Our youngest class is for children age three to third grade.  This has proven to be a really nice mix as the older children are able to help the younger children.  Our teachers Molly and Chad always have fun and creative ways to learn the day’s lesson.  Our older class is for youth ages 4th grade and up.  Each of the two classes average between 5 to 10 persons and the small size makes it a chance for the youth of difference ages to get to know each other.  The day’s lesson is Bible focused.  Finally, there is a children’s moment during the worship service and also Children’s church available for those children who choose it.
