THE PERFECT CHURCH

ASBURY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
149 South Main Street, Woodstown NJ 08098
(856)769-2484

If you could find the perfect church
Without one fault or smear.
For goodness sake, don’t join that church.
You’d spoil the atmosphere.
But since no perfect church exists
Where people never sin
Let’s cease looking for that church
And love the one we’re in!

ASBURY UNITED METHODIST WOMEN...
United Methodist Women Circles (UMW), are different days and times during the month as we hope that one of the times will meet your schedule. Below is a list of the Circles and the leaders.

    Eve Circle leader, Francine Anzaldo (769-4240) second Wednesday evening;
or Friendship Circle leader, Barbara Bender (769-9228) third Monday evening.

All women of the church are welcome to attend unit and circle meetings. If interested call one of the circle leaders or Phyllis Bowman, (769-2899) or Kathy Kesler (769-3022).

YES! WE ARE STILL COLLECTING:

Help!!! We need your used ink jet printer  cartridges! Please help Friendship Circle as they spearhead a church-wide effort to raise money for the Church Renovation Fund. Bring each cartridge in a Ziploc bag and place it in the bin under the table near the mailboxes by Caroline’s office. There will be plastic bags with the bin. The Church will earn $2.00 for each cartridge. Recycling considerations are very important since it is stated that it takes a cartridge 1000 years to decompose. Through this effort, they can be re manufactured and reused. Cartridges with a print head qualify for payment. That includes most Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Compaq, Canon and Apple. Those without print heads still can be recycled but without payment. That includes mostly Epson. We welcome all types. Feel free to ask friends, neighbors and places of employment if this "trash" can be used to help renovate our beloved church. Thank you for your support!

THANK YOU...

"There is no small service to God."  Thank you for expressing God's Care.  "...Anything you did for even the least
of My people here, you also did for Me."    Matthew 25:40

Dear Pastor and Youth Group,
My name is Pamela Gheen and I attend St. John's UMC in Turnersville.  I was recently hospitalized at Elmer Hospital during Christmas.
What a wonderful surprise it was to have someone from your congregation deliver a Christmas bear to my room on Christmas Eve.  The gift certainly lifted my spirits.
Thank you so much for showing the love of Christ to others.

Dear Parishioners,
   "With Gratitude..."
I want to thank all of you very much for the bear you gave me on Christmas Eve.  Thank God I was only in one day.  I came home Christmas Day.  It meant so much to me when the young man gave me the bear.
God Bless all of you for to work you do.  I know it meant a lot to all the people that got one.  I am a parishioner of the Queen of the Apostles Church in Pennsville.
My prayers are with all of you.
                                                                                                           Thank you again,
                                                                                                            Dorothy Gathers

A Special Note of Thanks~~"A simple act of kindness has a beauty all its own"
Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness.
Thank you:  So much for coming to our home/job and entertaining us.  I am so sorry for any problems that occurred on that day, please do not charge it to our hearts and keep us in prayers.
You are more than welcome to come back any time.

Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Disciples' Pantry I want to thank you for your recent donation of $804.55.  Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
We are averaging 175 to 200 families a month and every donation that we receive keeps our doors open.  We really feel God is blessing our mission as we have no corporate sponsors of any kind.  Our funds and donations come from the churches of our community and the local organizations, schools, postal service workers and the very generous individuals who faithfully contribute to the pantry.  It is really seeing God at work!
Be assured that f100 percent of all donations goes to buying food for the needy in our own communities.
                                                                                                         Thank you again,
                                                                                                          God Bless,
June E. Shimp, Treas. - Disciples' Pantry

Dear Asbury,
