During this time of economic hardship for many families, the United Methodist Women of Asbury has chosen the YWCA Family Center, located at 900 Harvey Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43219, for a service project for the month of July. The YWCA Family Center serves a great need for families who find themselves homeless. The Center has the capacity to house 50 families (200 people.) This is a temporary shelter with a 21-day turn-around, whose main goal is to help the families find more permanent housing. Listed below are items the Center is in need of:
We are asking the members of Asbury to help the U.M.W. in their campaign to collect these much needed items. A basket will be placed in the Narthex each Sunday during the month of July where these supplies can be placed. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
