THE BOUNDARIES OF APPALACHIA
The boundaries are recognized as extending from southern New York state to Mississippi. The region is comprised of parts of eleven states and the whole of West Virginia, and contains 410 counties. UMAMN also works with ministries outside these boundaries which serve Appalachian people.
