Lenten begins Ash Wednesday, February 25. McCoy's Ash Wednesday service of repentance, holy communion and the imposition of ashes will be at 5:30 p.m. Repentance is essential to our Lenten disciplines.
Read the Bible daily, focus on the passion stories in the Gospels. Bible readings are essential as Preparation to enrich our spirits to prepare us to experience the fullness of our Lord’s Passion and Resurrection.
Sacrifial Giving is a third Lenten discipline. Set aside daily, at the close of your daily reading and prayers, a gift of money for support of your church's outreach missions.
PRAYER AND HEALING NEIGHBORHOOD GROUPS Each Wednesday, March 3-April 7 at 6:30 p.m. we are called to participate in "house church" for prayer and healing.
Regular Sunday worship is vital. The six Sundays of Lent we will reflect on Jesus' decision to face the cross. Worship Theme is: “Our Journey to the Cross.” We will reconstruct the Passion Tree with symbols pointing to our Lord’s sacrifice for us. Sundays at 5:00 P.M. we will present lessons on Portraits of Jesus in the Bible.
