We here at the First United Methodist Church of Andover strive to have and display the heart of Jesus Christ in all that we seek to accomplish in His name. We thank you for visiting our web site. If you are checking us out for the first time or revisiting, we hope and pray that we are helpful. Our ministry here at Andover UMC is multi directional as we seek to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the Andover area and surrounding community. In addition to our two Sunday morning worship services, we have Christian education classes available for all ages. At other times during the week, we have small groups for men, women and youth. Recognizing that music adds to the enhancement of our worship setting and spiritual growth, we offer opportunities for involvement in both adult and children’s choirs. Many have answered the call and partner with the pastor to share the mission and vision by touching the community and world with the message of God’s saving and healing power. Our mission statement reads, "We exist to create and nurture a passionate faith community through open doorways to Christ!" It is our desire that we may always be found in the pursuit of that desire. We pray that as you come to know us, worship with us and serve alongside us, that all may see us as a faith community working together. We pray that all may see us a faith community that is excited and passionate about our faith. We seek to grow together as we join together in a variety of Christian opportunities. Please know that we are here to share His love with you, to spend time together in worship and praise as a faith growing community. We pledge to you that if you so desire and will pass on your name and/or concern, we will pray daily for you. We pledge that we will continue to expand our minds and our outreach, to provide regular ministry updates thru this site, our monthly newsletters, weekly bulletins and by prayer. We have an early service that begins at 8:30 a.m. We gather each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. for Sunday School, with classes for nursery through adult. Then at 10:30 a.m., we gather in our Sanctuary for another time of worship and celebration. In the summer months from Memorial Day to Labor Day we also sponsor an outdoor worship service at the Wildwood Campgrounds on Marvin Road beginning at 9:30 a.m. Our Church Staff includes:
