Some of the History of Activities at the Andover United Methodist Church… Thanks again to all who shared their talents in our Christmas Eve service and our Christmas Day service. What a great pageant! What a moving candlelight singing of “Silent Night”! Thanks also to everyone who donated to our toy drive, gifts for families in need, gifts to our troops overseas, and gifts for the staff. Your wonderful kindness and generosity shine through everything that happens in this church!
Car Wash for Hurricane Relief. On September 17, over twenty-five members of the AUMC, joined by staff and friends of the Andover Pre-School and the Andover Fire Department, worked together on a Car Wash at the firehouse in Andover Borough, to raise money for relief of people affected by Hurricane Katrina. As a result of all the enthusiastic effort, we raised over $550.00 to send to the United Methodist Committee on Relief. The United Methodist Committee on Relief is able to spend every dollar of donations on actual relief efforts, and not on administrative expenses or advertising, because all of the Committee’s expenses are covered by The United Methodist Church.
