This twenty foot tall stained glass window is the center piece of our altar area. It is an inspiration to the worshiping believers inside and, being lit at night from the inside, a thing of beauty for those passing by. Its design incorporates many of the symbols of Christianity that have been carried down for the past 2000 years. In the following pictures I have attempted to show each of them separately.

The red cross in the background represents the sacrifice of the Son of God for mankind. The three nails are symbols of his physical suffering. The flowing lines weaving through the design represent the prayers and supplication of His people rising towards heaven. The empty cross proves our Savior lives!

The CHI RHO represents Christ on the cross. The shell, grapes, chalice and wheat symbolize the great sacraments given to us by Christ.

The Alpha and Omega symbolize the eternity of our Savior. He is the first and last.
The fish is a long recognized symbol of Christians.
