Our church is small enough that we can minister to your individual needs, yet large enough to provide a wide array of opportunities for participation. We actively sponsor Scouting programs, children's ministry, church school, community involvement, music ministries including adult and children's choir, regular fellowship dinners, Bible study, prayer groups, and women's ministries among many other things.
I am a former college professor of communication for a Methodist college and I try to present sermons that are contemporary but that hew to timeless truths from the Bible. We have informal worship services with worship choruses and old hymns of the church. We think we offer a unique church experience in McDonald county that combines the best of a rich tradition with the most up-to-date thinking on current issues.
If you are looking for a congregation with a heartbeat for the community and the unchurched we are that congregation. If you are looking for a church that presents a positive message based on God's love, grace and mercy, we are that church. If you are looking for harsh condemnation and browbeating--you should try some place besides our church--we intend to lift people up, not beat them down. We are not impressed with the expense of your clothing, but with the hunger of your heart. Try us, you'll like us.
