WESLEY FOUNDATION

@ TEXAS SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY

Hello Everybody,

It has been said that in the spring, a young man’s fancy turns to love. This spring let us turns to the love of God.
We have scheduled some new study and support groups for the spring to help us understand and receive the love of God. God has plans for our lives, and we need to have an understanding of what those plans are.
Jeremiah says that the Lord has “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Let us all get involved and turn our fancy toward the
love of God.

Be Blessed,

Rev. Patricia A. Wells

The Wesley seeks to provide activities that will give opportunities to develop leadership skills, to grow spiritually, and to establish lasting relationships through Christian fellowship, service and missions.

We are looking for leaders. There are many teams that you can be a part of while developing your leadership skills. Look for sign up sheets or talk to Vallory or Rev. Wells. The Lord has need of you

Observations From The Field
By Vallory Williams

I’ve been traveling a little while now, and along the way I have learned some things. No, I don’t know everything and in fact sometimes the things that I think I know change the next day. But, there are a few things that I have observed along my journey.
I have observed that no matter how big you are, there is someone bigger.
No matter how thin you are, there is someone thinner.
No matter how pretty you are, there is someone prettier.
No matter how smart, there is someone smarter.
No matter how rich, someone is richer.
No matter how poor, someone is poorer.
No matter how nice, someone is nicer.
No matter how mean, there is someone meaner,
No matter how good, there is someone ‘good-er’.
And no matter how bad you are, there is someone ‘bad-er’.
In some situations you will be the one,
And sometimes you will be the other one.
Pick your friends, your enemies, and your battles carefully.
. . . Just a little something to think about as you move through your world today.
