Take a break from the “busy-ness” of life. Join us in the Sanctuary from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday evening of every month for a service of music and prayer in the Taize style.

Celtic Christians had an idea of what they called “thin places”. These were places where the invisible “curtain” that ordinarily separates us from the experience of God becomes thin, transparent, and permeable.

The idea of Taize is to create such a thin place, apart from cares and concerns of our daily lives, where we can find peace and, at least for a time, experience God’s loving presence.

The Taize liturgy uses simple chant-style songs, prayer, Scripture readings and silent meditation to foster an atmosphere in which we can simply be with God and listen.
