History

The original wooden church, shortly before it burned.

The second church, rebuilt in brick after the fire.. 

The third church, renovated in 2000.

Renovation

           In 2000, it was decided that the church should build an addition for a fellowship hall and Sunday School classes, along with a renovation of the Sanctuary.

Early History

           The original church was built  in 1879.  The congregation was formed when the Nelson and Smith churches merged.

Rebuilding

           The original church was destroyed in a fire sometime around 1914.  The congregation decided to rebuild the church  with brick as the preferred building material..
