“We are Committed to Sharing, Caring and Growing in the Good News of
Jesus Christ”

We are more than Just a church, we are a
community of believers traveling down the road of life. It is only by relying
on each other ( and of course our Lord and savior
Jesus Christ) that we are able to make it.
As such we have a few areas in our church that may be of interest
to you.
Eaton Youth, The Way
Confirmation Classes have begun!! We are meeting every other week
during normal Youth Group hours for those interested in Confirmation.
Our youth group meets every Sunday from 5:30 – 7:00pm. We play
games, we have fun, and we learn about ourselves and each other in a safe
environment. We also learn about our faith, God, Jesus, and the Bible through
various lessons, projects, devotional times and
through connections with other United Methodist Youth groups in the area. We hope you can join us! For further
information please contact Pastor Phil at 970-381-7021 or by email at Pvogels@juno.com
Sunday School: We have and adult Sunday
school class that meets in the church parlor from 10:00 -10:50am. This group
has used numerous videos and books to enhance their study of the Bible. They
are currently looking at the 10 Commandments from the Back Side, a book by J. Ellsworth Kalas. Everyone is invited to this fun and exciting
exploration of the Bible.
There is a Children’s Church program which
meets during our 11:00am Worship service. The Children all meet in worship and
then after a special Children’s time, they go upstairs for a fun and
educational time of learning about God.
This group is finished around 12 noon when Sunday worship is over.
Saturday Night Alive Worship: We have a
contemporary worship service on Saturday evenings from 6:00 to about 7:15pm
where we sing along to worship songs played by a our live praise band “Three
Pews Back”. We also focus on prayer and as always an inspiring worship message.
This is a casual service so please feel free to ‘come as you are’. Communion is
served at each worship service.
Sunday Worship: We meet every Sunday
morning from 11:00am to 12 Noon in order to Worship the Risen Lord through
reading scripture, singing hymns, and of course praying for one another. This is a more traditional
service and celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion on the first
Sunday of each month. Please join us for this time of rejuvenation.
Pastor Phil has occasionally classes that
he leads as well. The last class was based on an Erwin Mcmanus
book about chasing our dreams. The next class schedule will be about the
different Christian denominations and how we all interact together as a body of
Christ.
