Welcome to "CenLa," the term of endearment for Central Louisiana
which is the Alexandria District.  We stretch to the east as far as the
Louisiana side of Toledo Bend Lake.  The west end of our District is the
Mississippi state line.  We go as far north as Marthaville, and as far  south as Bayou Chicot.

The Alexandria District is the dividing line between  the oil wells of North
Louisiana, the sugar cane fields of  Central Louisiana, and the mudbug holes of South Louisiana.  If you  come to dinner you might enjoy red
beans and rice or mustard greens  and cornbread.  We square dance and Cajun two step.  We listen to  country music and zydeco.  This District is considered the "Cajun crossroads" of Louisiana.

You will find the churches of the Alexandria District as unique and diverse
as our art, music, and food.  You may enter a large formal sanctuary or a
cozy country church.  There may be a family life center or just a   fellowship hall.  The music may be pipe organ, contemporary band, or just
the piano. Whatever the music, setting, or size of the congregation, I  assure you God is present and the congregation within is ready to receive  you.  Our hearts, our minds, and our doors are open - won't you please  come in.
