MEN OF ALDERSGATE - WE NEED YOUR HELP During the week beginning on Sunday night, February 28 and ending on Saturday, March 6, The New Brunswick United Methodist Church is again hosting the New Brunswick Homeless Shelter. Men of Aldersgate have stepped up in the past as volunteers to help staff the shelter. Each volunteer typically stays over at New Brunswick UMC for one night until about 7:30 a.m., so this is best for those who don't have work obligations on the following morning.

SUNDAY SCHOOL - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - We would like to run a Sunday School Program for children at our 10:30 a.m. service. Our teens are ready to help, but we need adults willing to work with the teens in providing a Christian learning environment for children ages 4 to 9. We would like to have a rotating schedule.

No experience necessary. Please prayerfully consider this program. If you have any questions, please contact Lourdes O'Neill.

MIDWEEK MUSINGS, also called February Musings or Lenten Musings, is a weekly emailed newsletter filled with notices, announcements and articles pertinent to the congregational life of Aldersgate. It is available upon request. Indicate your desire to receive the publication through email by simply including your email address on the registration pad at church services. Copies of the most recent issue are available on the information table located in the narthex, and is usually also available on this website. (Go to the WELCOME page to find it).

Confirmation Classes for 2010 - These classes, for 7th and 8th graders, are being held on Sunday evenings from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m..

CALLING ALL KIDS FOR THE EASTER PLAY - There are a lot of singing and speaking parts for anyone who wants one. No memorization necessary. All children are welcome! Please see Karen Szold or Mary Sciascia if you want to join the fun.

THE CRISIS ROOM, offering emergency food, clothing, and household items, is open on Sunday afternoons from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Please speak to an usher for information or guidance in locating the Crisis Room.

CRISIS ROOM STILL NEEDS YOUR HELP - Demand for food assistance continues in these recessionary times and our Crisis Room pantry is low!!!! Please remember the Crisis Room pantry this week as you shop for groceries. The greatest need is for Peanut Butter, Canned Corn, Breakfast Cereals and plastic/paper grocery bags. The Crisis Room is presently feeding 80+families per week.

THE WOMEN'S RETREAT WEEKEND - will be held on March 5, 6 and 7 from Friday evening to Sunday noon. Please sign up. Contact Nancy Cook or Leslie Dziedczak for more information.

PRAYER AND BIBLE STUDY - On Tuesdays the prayer group meets at 9:30 a.m., the morning Bible Study begins at 10:00 a.m. and the WELLNESS group meets at 11:00 a.m. The evening Bible Study begins at 7:30 p.m.

Join us for IMPACT (Youth Group). We meet most Sunday nights during the school year from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in the gym.

7th Graders!!!!! Calling all new 7th graders and all other youth. Please join us for our youth group events. Fusion Youth Group is the place to be!

Mission Trip - We need one male adult chaperone for their summer mission trip to Ocean Grove, NJ. The dates are July 18 - 21. See Kim if you can help.

Feed the Children - Saturday, March 13 We will help out in New Brunswick. If you are interested please see Kim. We will leave the church at 7:45 a.m.

Family Movie Night - Sunday, March 21.. This is our second Family Movie Night. All are welcome. Donations will be taken to support the Youth Group. Join us at 5 p.m. The movie will be announced the week before.
