What Aldersgate United Methodist Church means to me...
“Aldersgate is my local family. My husband and I moved to the Dallas area in 1996, but never really found a place where we connected until we visited AUMC in 2000. Not long after we became regular visitors, I lost my job, but found more support than I ever could have imagined from my new friends in Christ. That support wasn’t just for my job hunt, but honored the parts of my life that hadn’t changed – like music, prayer, creativity, and just hanging out together. I also needed a church that needed me, and at Aldersgate I’ve found many different ways to serve God and neighbor as my faith journey has taken new turns.”

"Upon moving to Dallas one of our first priorities was finding a church. We visited many churches, trying to find one that felt like home to my husband and me. Many times I drove on Old Denton Road and saw a sign about the future home of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, now meeting at Kent Elementary. Although we were unsure about a church meeting in a school, we visited and immediately felt a connection. This connection has grown through friends, studies, committees, Sunday School and activities. We are pleased to be raising our children in this wonderful church family."
