Music and Worship at Aldersgate

Under the leadership of its Worship Committee, Aldersgate has built a tradition of beauty and inspiration in its worship services.

The church is blessed in having John Cashwell as its Minister of Music, leading our talented volunteer choir. Worship services have been further enhanced by lay participation in the liturgy.

At Aldersgate, hymn singing is a favorite activity during church school opening exercises, at regular church services, at family night suppers or whenever the opportunity arises

A special worship service is held by Aldersgate members each month at the Carrboro Senior Center in Chapel Hill.

Holy Communion is celebrated at 11am the first and third Sundays of each month during worship, and at other special observances in the Christian year (e.g., Lent, Holy Thursday, and Advent).
