we celebrate NATIVE AMERICAN MINISTRIES with a special offering to support those ministries in the United Methodist Church. Fifty percent of the offering stays with the Western New York Conference to support local work and the rest goes to the national level. The funds are used for outreach as well as for scholarships for Native Americans entering full-time Christian service. A ONE DAY MOTORCOACH TOUR TO EAST AURORA, NY

is excited to announce its 2nd Annual "School of Congregational Development -- GOING MISSIONAL", which will be held on Saturday May 3, 2008 at the Rush UMC; 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. PLAN NOW FOR THE NEXT UNITED MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER WEEKEND:

There will be a United Marriage Encounter Weekend April 11-13, 2008 at the Clarion Hotel in downtown Rochester). This is a wonderful, 48 hour experience for married couples to enrich their relationship with each other and with God. The registration fee is $80. This is the only required expense for the Weekend. GRACE UMC NEEDS KITCHEN HELP:

Grace UMC and Grace Community Village are closing in on serving 20,000 meals over the past 2 years. They have a need for some kitchen help for both the Saturday morning breakfast and with a new fundraising effort during the day. Teachers are needed NOW for Sunday School and Jr. Church. The young ladies from Elim Bible Institute will be leaving in early April. MISSION TRIP FUNDRAISER:

The annual youth mission trip fundraiser, "Dinner and a Movie Night", will take place on Tuesday, April 22nd starting at 6:00 PM. Dinner will include salad, garlic bread, spaghetti and meatballs, dessert and beverage. Two movie selections will be given. One movie will be shown on the twin screens in the large sanctuary, and another mini-theatre will be setup in the chapel. Movie titled TBD. Cost: $10.00 donation per person. A sign-up sheet will be posted so that we know how much food to make. We look forward to your continued support of the youth in mission.

SECRET SISTER PRAYER PARTNER:

All women of the church are invited to attend the Ladie's Tea Party, April 19th at 9:00 AM. We will have a lovely time of fellowship over a light breakfast. Please bring your favorite teacup or coffee cup. Barb Draft and Rachelle Vitullo will offer a devotional about prayer, and those who desire can participate in the selection of their SECRET SISTERS PRAYER PARTNER for the reminder of the year (guidelines to be discussed at the event). We anticipate this will be a program
that we will enjoy year after year, and we look forward to seeing you at this very first Prayer Tea. The sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board in the Gathering Space. There is no fee for this event.

GAME NIGHT APRIL 12 AT 6:00 PM

Last month's Euchre competition held true to form in that there was another first-time winner. Some new people showed up and the snacks people bring keep improving. Just because you haven't participated yet does not mean you can't join in now. Partners are provided. This event is open to all.
Euchre/Game Night is a monthly activity and it appears that we have settled on Saturdays as the best day. A suggestion was made to try and hold this event on a specific schedule so starting in April, Game Night will be held on the 2nd Saturday of each month unless otherwise indicated.

REMEMBER TO SAVE THOSE UPC'S

and the Labels for Education symbols on Campbell's soups and Pepperidge Farms products. We collect both those and General Mills Boxtops for Education to send to Red Bird Mission School in Beverly, Kentucky. This United Methodist School serves both children from one of the poorest areas of Eastern Kentucky and missionary kids. The labels can be put in the green box on the mission counter in the gathering area.

GRACE COMMUNITY VILLAGE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS:

Grace Community Village is looking for volunteers for several different programs. The after school programs being run at the church for city school children are in need of volunteers who can help with homework, or perhaps just be read to by children.
