Volunteers Give Alameda Heights a New Look

Volunteers from Wisconsin with a group called pH Balance Missions donate their time and effort to repaint and improve Alameda Heights United Methodist Church.

PH-Balance Crew

July 16, 1998 -- Alameda Heights United Methodist Church received a facelift, thanks to high school students from Wisconsin. These youths, called "pH-Balance," under the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church, came to Denver to donate time, energy, supplies, equipment and services to the congregation of Alameda Heights United Methodist Church.
They repaired outside windows, repainted the steeple, painted woodwork, installed a sound system, painted the interior of the church and installed carpet.
This group is part of "Volunteers in Missions," a branch of the United Methodist Church, which performs service work worldwide.
The purpose of the group's mission is to teach a balance of work, service and having fun.
