Our New Minister
Rev. Thomas Compton and
family
| The first of July, 2001 saw a new face in the
pulpits of Findlay and Assumption Methodist churches. The conference
appointed Rev. Thomas Compton to serve as our minister. Coming from
Hillsboro, Rev. Compton moved into the Assumption parsonage the last
week of June with his wife, Chris, and their two children: daughter
Kendra and son Karl. They also have a grown son, Kurt, who is married
and lives in Jacksonville with his wife Tiffney.
Mrs. Compton is a hearing impaired teacher’s aid with the Hillsboro schools and will continue her position this fall. Karl will be a senior in high school this fall and will finish out his high school career in Hillsboro. Kendra will begin her 7th grade year attending Central A&M Middle School in Assumption. She says she is looking forward to her new adventure here. |
Rev. Compton plans to be in Findlay every
Tuesday and Thursday morning. Be sure to stop in, say hello, and greet
him.
Please remember that he would appreciate the names and addresses of any shut-ins, anyone that is ill, or anyone that is hospitalized. He can only be as effective as we help him to be. Don’t forget that Rev. Compton can be reached in several different ways. Phone numbers and e-mail are listed below. May God richly bless Rev. Compton, his family, and his ministry here with us.
