Addilynn
Memorial United Methodist Women
The
United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose
is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons
through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive
fellowship; and expand concepts of mission through
participation in the global ministries of the church.
The Addilynn United
Methodist Women Organization is a part of the
Holston Conference United Methodist Women.
The United Methodist Women at Addilynn UMC serve two Wonderful
Wednesday Suppers a year with the profit going to the Youth at
Addilynn and to the World Thank Offering. We also make
applebutter in the fall and use the profit for missions. We
support the church in any way we can.
We have two circles. The Alpha-Helpers meet on
the first Wednesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. at the
church. The Addi-Lynns meet on the first
Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the church. The unit
meeting is the first Wednesday of each quarter at 7:00 p.m. at
the church. If you are interested in attending our meetings
or becoming a member of the United Methodist Women, please
contact the church office.
Our unit at Addilynn is active in district and conference
activities. Our mission is to serve our church, community,
nation and world.

| Change of Life Support Group - HorrorMoans |
The HorrorMoans, a support group for all women who are peri-menopausal, menopausal or post-menopausal, meet on a monthly basis. This lively group is a sure booster for women who are suffering from the imbalance that change of life brings to her life. The group is a "no-holds barred" discussion of the changes that happen in a woman's life and focuses on the humorous aspects of this time in our lives. All women are welcome-we meet in the conference room once a month and we go out for a meal on approximately a quarterly basis. Other outings are planned as the group feels the need.
If you are interested in receiving a card for the next meeting or need more information, please e-mail Teddy Stevens or call 538-4768 and give her your name, address and phone number.
